Efficiency Improvements for Expanded Pickling Operations
F Company, a steelworks in Saga Prefecture, contacted us after visiting our website, stating:
“The scale of our pickling operations has increased, and we want to automatically neutralize the rinse water in the subsequent process.”
After discussing their needs, we learned that they currently rinse near a drainage ditch, which is highly inefficient. Their request was to construct a pit for rinsing and place the neutralization system directly within the pit.
Proposal from the Collection Pit
We proposed the collection pit and its dimensions to enable rinsing within the pit after pickling and pumping the water directly to the neutralization system.
Since the wastewater before neutralization is acidic, ordinary submersible pumps would corrode. Therefore, a corrosion-resistant submersible pump with automatic control was selected.
Although the project ultimately involved competitive bidding, our proposal from the design stage and the ability to handle installation work were highly appreciated, leading to the order.。
