Client: Company B, Aichi Prefecture
Application: Transfer of adhesive containing ethyl acetate and toluene
Model: ADD-25-SS-TST
Easy adhesive transfer designed for all operators, including women
A major manufacturer in Aichi Prefecture, Company B, asked if it was possible to pump adhesive instead of manually lifting one-gallon cans to refill tanks.
The adhesive, containing ethyl acetate and toluene, is high-viscosity (12,000 cP) and used in an explosion-proof area. We proposed the ADD Series Air Diaphragm Pump with stainless steel parts.
We selected a 25A pump size to handle the viscosity comfortably, and the transfer worked smoothly.
Later, we added an upgraded silencer to reduce noise and custom-made a stainless steel stand for the pump.
The customer appreciated the solution, saying it helped make the work easier for female staff, aligning with their company policy.
Customized one-gallon can attachments made to meet user needs
To ensure safe suction from one-gallon cans, we also proposed a custom hose clamp to prevent the hose from slipping out. This was accepted by the customer.
Since adhesive is transferred from one can to the next, the system was designed to minimize operator contact with chemicals during hose replacement.
We later learned that Company B had been turned down by other manufacturers.
