Client: Chemical Plant
Application: Transfer of urea water from port to ship
Model: ADD-40-PP (Air Diaphragm Pump) + Compressor Unit
Transferring large volumes of urea water up to 30 meters
A major chemical manufacturer approached us with a request to transfer urea water from land to ships docked at the port.
The required specifications were:
- Transfer rate of 200 L/min
- Self-priming and resistant to dry running (since urea tends to crystallize)
- 30 m total head
- Mobile unit with both pump and compressor mounted on a trolley
We handled the request from design stage and delivered a custom-built unit.
Equipped with a pulsation damper
Since long-distance transfer via hose was expected, a pulsation damper was also included in the unit.
We selected the appropriate compressor based on the customer’s requirements and delivered the unit as a complete, ready-to-use package.
Although the customer had considered other types of pumps, they ultimately chose our air diaphragm pump unit for its durability: tolerating dry runs, handling slurry, and more, even if it meant including a compressor.
As shown in this case, we offer flexible design and fabrication of custom units and systems using our pumps.
If you need more than just a pump, such as a trolley-mounted setup, please feel free to contact us.
