Client: Major Chemical Company
Application: Transfer of hazardous mixtures of liquids and solids
Model: SB-75 (with cover)
Want to transfer viscous slurry in harsh environments
A major chemical company contacted us with a request to transfer a solid-containing fluid (approx. 2,000 cP, 30% wt).
Upon further inquiry, the requirements included explosion-proof specifications, water- and oil-free processing, and contamination-free handling due to product use.
Additionally, contact parts had to be stainless steel or resin, limited strictly to PTFE types when resin was used.
To meet these conditions, we selected the sanitary air diaphragm pump SB-75 and proposed SUS316 balls to handle the high-viscosity slurry.
A custom-made cover was provided to prevent resin exposure
Although the pump body material was selected as PTFE, exposed resin was not acceptable. Therefore, we fabricated a custom stainless steel cover to enclose the entire unit.
Additionally, since the piping connection required a 40A JIS flange, we also manufactured a custom adapter to convert from sanitary ferrule to JIS flange.
At our company, we offer customized solutions for high-viscosity slurry transfer, as demonstrated in this case.
If you’re facing challenges with transferring high-viscosity slurries, feel free to contact us.
